First Blush, First Glance

Blush  (blʌʃ - verb) is defined by an online dictionary as 'to make or become reddish or rosy.' But in a press conference two weeks ago, BLUSH! is the newest premiere Pan-Asian group formed from a region-wide talent search across Southeast Asia in late 2010.

Five girls were selected through a process including auditions and an extensive six-week training-and-elimination process held in Hong Kong. Lea Salonga is actually one of the celebrity judges.

Five girls were then selected based on thier vocal ability, stage presence, style uniqueness, and dancing. The five artists are from China (Victoria), India (Alisha), Japan (Natsuko), Korea (Ji Hae) and the Philippines (Angeli). Although most of their songs are in English, they are also set very soon to offer their songs in Mandarin, Korean and Japanese.

It was revealed in Dusit Thani Hotel, Metro Manila, that this was their first press conference in Asia.
Angeli (Philippines)
I immediately noticed how Angeli's natural beauty as a Filipina emerged from the group.
Ji Hae (Korea)
On the other hand, Korea's Ji Hae exuded an alluring appeal that will surely capture the hearts of a lot of fans. Among the four, however, it is Ji Hae, who still needs a lot of work on the English language. With the assitance from her four girl friends, I think this would be a breeze. :)
Natsuko (Japan)

Japan's Natsuko projects the rock star charm among the five.
Alisha (India)
Alisha from India reveals a different kind of beauty form South West Asia, while Victoria from China is ever cheerful in the interview.
Victoria (China)
"The music of Blush is edgy and fun with a unique spin, delivered by five gifted girls on a mission. The members are all Asian, and all five have world-class talents and charm. What you’re feeling is Blush." (http://blushband.com/)
Blush is created by FarWest Entertainment head Jon Niermann. Being in the entertainment industry for 22 years, he is also the former president of Asia-Pacific Walt Disney.

BLUSH
Having been compared to the 'Spice Girls', Blush is one of FarWest’s current and most ambitious projects offer Asia's talent to the world. I actually admire the mix of their Asian appeals and talents. If handled well and given the right breaks, Blush will definitely go far.
